What it does and who it’s for

Making fifty videos by hand in Grok Imagine means fifty round trips: paste, wait, download, rename, start again. The bottleneck isn’t the model, it’s the time you spend watching it work.

Grok AutoKuak walks that path for you, inside the page itself. It reads your list of prompts, splits it into groups, applies Grok’s generation options, sends each prompt once the previous one has finished, and downloads the result with the right name. If something fails it retries; if Grok gets stuck it stops and tells you.

It’s built for people producing video in bulk: Shorts channels, campaigns with many variations of one shot, style tests. It doesn’t generate anything itself and has no model of its own: it uses your Grok account and the options the site already offers.

How to use it

Open Grok Imagine and the panel

The extension only works on grok.com/imagine. If you’re elsewhere in Grok the panel says so and offers a button to go there; it unlocks by itself as soon as you arrive, with no reload.

Choose where the prompts come from

Two options: “Paste manually”, leaving a blank line between prompts, or “From a tab”, which reads them from another open tab (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, X or Labs), cutting between two text markers you define.

Check the preview

Before anything is sent you see the numbered list, limited to the range you asked for (“From #” and “To #”). You can remove the ones you don’t want and add the rest to a group.

Set up the group

Each group has its mode (Text only, Image + text or Sequence), its Grok options (aspect, resolution, duration), its wait between prompts and its download settings: folder, prefix and automatic renaming.

Press Start and walk away

The panel switches to the run view: which prompt is going, what state it’s in (pasting, sending, generating, downloading), how many groups are left, the estimate and how many prompts you have left today. “■ Stop” cuts it off at any point.

Paste manually One prompt per block, separated by a blank line.
Read from another tab Captures prompts between two delimiters (START and END) from a ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, X or Labs tab.
List range Load only from prompt #N to #M; 0 means “to the end”.
Named groups Each group keeps its own prompts, mode and settings, and queues up with the rest.
Saved settings groups Up to five reusable settings bundles, identified by colour, applied to a group in one tap.

Generation options

Aspect The five Grok Imagine offers: 2:3, 3:2, 1:1, 9:16 and 16:9.
Resolution and duration 480p or 720p, 6 or 10 seconds. These are the values the site itself offers.
Verified after applying After setting each control it checks that Grok accepted it. If one couldn’t be applied it warns you and continues with whatever Grok has selected.
Generation mode Always Video: the extension forces it at start so a manual change doesn’t break the batch.

Input images

Text only Sends each prompt as plain text, with nothing attached.
Image + text The same image goes with every prompt in the group.
Sequence A different image per prompt, in order; reorder by dragging, and it warns you if there are too many or too few.

Downloads

Automatic download The video saves as soon as Grok finishes, without opening any download menu.
Folder and prefix per group Each group can save into its own subfolder with its own filename prefix.
Sequential renaming Two modes: prefix plus number, or numbers only. The counter starts wherever you say.

While it runs

Per-prompt state Pending, pasting, sending, confirming, generating, downloading, retrying, done or error.
Estimated time Per group and total, worked out from how long the previous prompts are actually taking.
Wait between prompts How long it waits after one finishes (download included) before sending the next.
Stop and dequeue Stop ends the whole batch; groups that haven’t started yet can be pulled out of the queue one by one.
Prompt counter How many you’ve used and how many are left in your 24-hour window, with the reset time.

Account

Anonymous mode Works without signing in, on a smaller allowance.
Google sign-in The same Kuak Studio account as the rest of the suite.
Subscription from the panel “See Pro plans” and “Manage subscription” open the site with your session already recognised.

Input modes

The mode is set per group, so one batch can mix text prompts and image prompts.

Text only

Sends every prompt as plain text. No image attached.

Image + text

Uses the SAME image with every prompt: the image is reused each turn while the text changes.

Sequence

Assigns a DIFFERENT image to each prompt, in order: one image per prompt.

What’s free and what isn’t

Prompts are counted per tool over a rolling 24-hour window: there’s no cut-off at midnight, each prompt stops counting 24 hours after it was sent.

The allowance is the extension’s, not Grok’s: what Grok lets you generate depends on your account there. Each tool in the suite has its own counter, so spending Grok prompts doesn’t take away Flow’s or ChatGPT’s.

What it needs and what data leaves your machine

Chrome 116 or later (any Chromium-based browser works too).
It acts on grok.com and x.com, and reads prompts from chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com and labs.google when you choose “From a tab”.
Prompts, images and videos go from your browser to Grok. They don’t pass through any Kuak server.
The only thing that travels to api.kuaklabs.com is the count: how many prompts you sent, to track your allowance and plan.
Groups, images and settings are stored in Chrome’s local storage.
It never asks for or stores your Grok password: it uses the session already open in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a paid Grok account?

You need the Grok account you already generate with. The extension generates nothing on its own: it uses your session and whatever options Grok offers on your plan.

Can I close the panel while it works?

The run lives in the browser and needs the Grok tab open. You can use other tabs, but don’t close the Grok Imagine one.

What if a video fails?

That prompt is marked in red and the extension retries. If the failure comes from the page — dropped session, a Grok limit — the batch stops with a notice instead of firing into the void.

How many prompts can I send?

Without an account, 15 per 24 hours. With a free account, 30. With the Pro plan, unlimited. The counter belongs to Grok AutoKuak and isn’t shared with the other extensions.

Where do the videos go?

In Chrome’s downloads folder, or the subfolder you set on the group. You decide the name with the prefix and the renaming mode.

Does it work in Edge, Brave or Opera?

Yes, on any Chromium-based browser from version 116. You install it from the Chrome store.

Can I pull prompts from a ChatGPT conversation?

Yes. With “From a tab” you pick the source tab and two text markers; the extension cuts what sits between them and builds the list.
