Low poly videos, generated with AI

Three dimensions made of few faces: faceted surfaces, flat shading, a short palette and soft gradients from one triangle to the next.

What it looks like

  • Faceted surfaces: you can see the triangles.
  • Flat shading, with no texture on top.
  • A short clean palette, two or three colour families.
  • Simplified shapes: you can tell what everything is at a glance.

What videos it suits

  • Explaining processes and concepts with clean scenes.
  • Tech, data and corporate videos without stock photography.
  • Landscapes and travel with a model-like feel.

You write the scene; Studio handles the style

The style is never named in the script. Each line describes what is seen, and this is how one is written:

A valley of faceted mountains with a blue river running between triangular pines at dawn.

With this style, Studio suggests the Alloy voice (warm and balanced, a safe all-rounder). You can swap it from the editor for any of the six, and use a different one on each line.

What to watch out for

Faceted human faces come out cold and sometimes off-putting. If your video is about people, it works far better with full-body figures, seen from behind or small within the landscape, than with portraits.

How it is done, step by step

  1. Pick the style before generating

When you create a video, Kuak Studio shows a gallery of 58 video templates: nine formats of its own and the 49 visual styles. You pick one and it applies to every scene in the video.

  2. Write the script, or ask for one

Each line of the script is a scene. That is where you describe what is seen — who is in it, where, and what happens — never the style: the template already handles that.

  3. Studio generates voice, images and captions

The voice is generated line by line and the images scene by scene, all in the same style. The captions come from the voice itself, so they stay in sync.

  4. You finish it in the editor

Change a sentence, regenerate only the scene that does not convince you, move the text, add music and export. The editor runs inside your browser and there is nothing to install.

  • The style is picked, not written. Kuak Studio applies it to every image in the video; in the script you only describe the scene.
  • Images come out with no text inside, on purpose: AI draws warped letters in the wrong language. Titles and captions go on editor layers, where they read properly and can be fixed.
  • Each scene is an image the editor gives camera movement to. It is not frame-by-frame animation, and saying so up front avoids expecting something else.

Frequently asked questions

Is it good for business videos?
It is one of the best for that: neutral, slow to date, and it does not depend on stock photos of smiling people. The short palette also leaves clean room for text on top in the editor.
How is it different from 90s pixel?
Low poly is three-dimensional and modern: there is volume, depth and light. 90s pixel is flat and retro, from a 16-bit console. Both simplify, but one looks forward and the other back.
Can I use the same style across a whole series?
Yes, and this is where the advantage shows most: because the style is so stable, episodes look like they belong together even when they cover different things. You just pick the same template in each video.
