What it does and who it’s for

When you use ChatGPT to produce in bulk — a hundred descriptions, fifty script variations, a batch of Sora images — the work isn’t thinking up the prompts, it’s pasting them one by one and copying each reply into a file.

ChatGPT AutoKuak automates that cycle inside the page itself. It knows when ChatGPT has started answering and when it has genuinely finished, because it listens to the reply in flight instead of watching a clock; so it neither cuts off halfway nor waits longer than needed.

It serves text and image alike: if the reply carries an image, the image is downloaded; if not, the reply text is saved as a file. And the prompts can come from another tab, so you can write them in Claude or Gemini and send them to ChatGPT without copy-paste.

How to use it

Open ChatGPT and the panel

The extension only works on chatgpt.com. If you’re outside a chat the panel offers a button to open one, and unlocks by itself as soon as you get there.

Choose where the prompts come from

“Paste manually”, with a blank line between prompts, or “From a tab”, cutting a Claude, Gemini, Grok, X or Labs conversation between two text markers.

Check the preview

The numbered list, limited to the range you asked for. Remove the ones you don’t want and add the rest to a group.

Set up the group

Mode (Text only, Image + text or Sequence), wait between prompts and downloads: folder, prefix and automatic renaming.

Press Start

The run view shows each prompt’s state — pasting, sending, generating a reply, downloading — the groups still pending, and how many prompts are left in your 24-hour window.

How it reads the reply

Confirmed send It doesn’t move on until it confirms ChatGPT accepted the send.
Real end, not a clock It tells apart the first chunk of the reply, the end of the reply and a manual stop, instead of waiting a fixed time.
Detects when there’s an image If the reply generates an image, the extension knows before it appears and waits for it to be ready.
ChatGPT limit warning If ChatGPT answers that you’ve hit its limit, the batch stops with a clear notice.
Stall watchdog If a phase sits still for too many minutes without progress, it aborts instead of hanging.

Downloads

Image when there is one The generated image is downloaded, without the text around it.
Reply as .txt when there isn’t The last turn’s text is saved as a file, with the same name and folder as the images.
Folder, prefix and renaming Per group, with a sequential counter; renaming keeps the file extension.
Very long replies If the text goes over 1.5 MB it isn’t saved blindly: the extension tells you to copy it from the chat.

While it runs

Per-prompt state Pending, pasting, sending, attaching an image, generating a reply, downloading, done or error.
Wait between prompts How long it waits after one finishes, download included, before sending the next.
Editable queue and Stop Groups that haven’t started can leave the queue without stopping the batch; Stop ends it all.
Prompt counter How many you’ve used in your 24-hour window and when it resets.

Input modes

The mode is set per group. In all three, if ChatGPT returns no image, the reply is saved as a .txt.

Text only

Sends each prompt as plain text. If ChatGPT returns no image, the reply is saved as a .txt.

Image + text

Attaches the same image to each prompt. If ChatGPT returns an image, only the image is downloaded; if not, the reply as a .txt.

Sequence

Attaches a different image per prompt, in order. If ChatGPT returns an image, only the image is downloaded; if not, the reply as a .txt.

What’s free and what isn’t

Prompts are counted per tool over a rolling 24-hour window: each prompt stops counting 24 hours after it was sent.

This allowance is the extension’s. Your own ChatGPT account limits are set by OpenAI and don’t depend on this: if ChatGPT cuts you off, the batch stops and says so.

What it needs and what data leaves your machine

Chrome 116 or later (any Chromium-based browser works too).
It acts on chatgpt.com, and reads prompts from claude.ai, gemini.google.com, grok.com, x.com and labs.google when you choose “From a tab”.
Prompts, images and replies go from your browser to ChatGPT. They don’t pass through any Kuak server.
Only the prompt count travels to api.kuaklabs.com, to track your allowance and plan.
To know when a reply ends, the extension watches the conversation in the page itself; it sends it nowhere.
It never asks for or stores your ChatGPT password: it uses the session already open.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Sora images?

Yes. When a reply generates an image, the extension detects it, waits until it’s ready and downloads it.

And if the prompt only returns text?

The assistant’s reply is saved as a .txt file, with the same name and folder the image would have had.

Do I need ChatGPT Plus?

You need the ChatGPT account you already work with. That account’s limits are OpenAI’s; the extension respects them and stops the batch if you get cut off.

Can I write the prompts in another AI?

Yes. With “From a tab” you pick the Claude, Gemini, Grok, X or Labs tab and two text markers; the extension cuts and builds the list.

What if I run out of ChatGPT quota halfway?

The batch stops with a notice explaining what happened. The remaining prompts stay in the queue for when you can pick it back up.

How many prompts can I send?

Without an account, 15 per 24 hours. With a free account, 30. With Pro, unlimited. The counter belongs to ChatGPT AutoKuak.

Can I use my computer while it works?

Yes, as long as you don’t close the ChatGPT tab. You can browse in other tabs as usual.
